Building A Sustainable Future For Himalayan Farmers And Their Families
The subscription box is a great way to broaden your tea horizons and experience the rich variety that Young Mountain Tea has to offer (without breaking the bank!) I have especially enjoyed the Nepali Spring Oolong, and the Taiwanese oolong (spring box) and Taiwanese black tea (summer box). Can’t wait for the next subscription box!
My partner wanted help support the tea factory that Young Mountain is building and bought me a gift card. It gave me the freedom to try some of the fabulous reserve teas. It's the best gift for a tea lover and helps support a wonderful cause. Tea bliss on many levels.
I love this tea! It's the perfectly balanced. I can taste the minty flavors, but the green tea really comes through too. It's one of my afternoon go-tos, which I'll steep for a shorter amount of time to hopefully get less caffeine in my system and keep me full until dinner. Thanks, Young Mountain Tea!
The best tea I’ve ever had
Smooth and flavorful, but never bitter, this black tea is perfect to start your morning or for anytime. Great either iced or hot. This is in my top 5 go-to teas.
We loved the tea bundle, our favorites are the mint green tea and Himalayan Chai! Compared to other brands of tea we’ve tried the taste is much fresher and smooth. We’re big fans!
I am fairly new to Young mountain tea, and it is already my favorite morning and afternoon ritual. I lean more towards green and oolong, but this Organic Kumaon Black is incredible! Luscious, smooth on the palate, with a wonderful bittersweet cocoa finish. So happy to have this tea in the rotation.
I love the Organic Nepali Green Pearl tea and brew it every morning. It's got a great full bodied flavor, and I enjoy the second steep as much as the first.
I started with the Nepali Spring Oolong every sip got better and better and I couldn't get enough of it. Then on a morning needing a black tea energy boost I had the Sri Lankan Black; it was one of those teas that thrill you with each taste. Alishan Black was delicious as well. All three of these teas reflected the expertise, thought, and dedication that went into choosing them for The Summer Tea Box.
It was the freshest and best tasting black tea I ever had.
Kumaon white was the tea that converted me, a life time Assam lover, to preferring white tea most of the week. This 2022 tea, for me, has a rich, smooth, buttery, honey dew melon flavor. It's so good. The first thing I though is "I wonder if we can get more". After writing this review trying to order more is the first thing I'm going to do.
Whenever Young Mountain has a lecture, I sign up. Most of the time, the cost includes both the lecture and some tea. It's fun to learn about a subject (though "fun" might be the wrong word for this one) while enjoying the great tea that Young Mountain makes. I highly recommend!
Delicious! Fresh! Best tea I have had in a long time. I will definitely reorder.
I find this such an interesting tea. First, I would never identify it as darjeeling unless I saw the label. Second, as with all artisan teas each season is delightfully different. Third, brewing makes a huge difference…how much tea, how long the steeping…the results can be dramatically different. Very little astringency for such a robust black tea. Sometimes I note a molasses or perhaps a fig-like sweetness, sometimes it almost seems a bit smokey, always earthy in a very pleasant way. Never boring.
After visiting a Health Institute, we were told to drink white tea for the antioxidants. My husband - a tough Cowboy - agreed to try tea instead of his cowboy coffee. Well, now he drinks this white tea all day long at our ranch. He even adds honey to it instead of sugar........Picture him around the campfire sipping tea instead of the cowboy coffee.......lol !!

India has become the second-largest tea producer in the world, crafting world renowned varieties including Darjeeling 1st Flush and Assam Black. We at Young Mountain Tea are proud to be part of this globally beloved industry and are working with emerging tea makers to shape its future. We source directly from small-scale tea gardens in pristine mountain ranges—like our Nepali teas, which flourish in the shadow of Everest—and we are the exclusive U.S. importer of many of the Indian and Nepali loose-leaf teas in our online shop, including the Kumaon teas that hail from a forgotten Himalayan tea region that is being reborn. Every ounce (or pound) of loose-leaf tea you buy helps to create vibrant rural economies and restore the environment. Our deep partnerships with tea growers support individual livelihoods, regional commerce, and help remote communities unlock tea's full potential. That means fresh, certified organic, high-quality Indian and Nepali loose-leaf teas that you won’t find anywhere else. We believe it is possible to create sustainable communities through exceptional tea. We believe in quality and sustainability. And of course, we believe in the power of tea. Raise your cup.
