Building A Sustainable Future For Himalayan Farmers And Their Families
I’m a lifelong, black tea drinker and a bit of a snob about the quality. Nilgiri Gold is my new morning favorite. I enjoy it so much that I now have a subscription with Young Mountain so I’ll never run out!
Love this tea. It’s good both hot and cold. I drank it while sitting on my porch and had a great time.
We love this Nepali Golden Black Tea. We've probably drank 10 lbs over the last few years. It is a softer black tea, good for daily drinking. Not too bitter. A good maltiness. Also great for making iced tea!
It is more gentle in flavor than a usual oolong, but rich enough and can definitely taste the berry note. And, easily makes a satisfying second brew.
I greatly enjoyed this tea! It was light in flavor, yet had a depth of body that rounded out the tea perfectly. I would definitely order it again.
I'm a beginner tea drinker and this box helps me discover new teas each time! I really love the letter that comes with the box that tells the story about them. It keeps me curious and every time is a new discovery! Thank you so much!
My daily best tea for years!
I always eagerly await (notice, I did not say "patiently" await) my seasonal tea box. I am quite happy (again) this time. Right now, I am drinking the Darjeeling Green from Makaibari Estate. It is simply delicious.
Origin Tea Bundles are a nice option. Initially, I wanted a green pearl tea with a savory black from the same region. I thought, why not try the Origin Tea Bundle which also has the white silver needle. It's so good to have these different tea styles all from a single growing region.
So rich and yet smooth. No bitterness no matter how long I let it steep. I love it.
I bought white tea; Kumaon black, Darjeeling; & sample pack. A friend & I tasted 4 of them. Very smooth, & excellent flavors!! We especially liked the white tea with cucumber & melon. She wants to make it iced also
I agree with much of the other reviewers. Initially experienced some tartness but that vanished as the tea cooled followed by growing taste of light smokey molasses. Mild astringency when brewed very strong. If presented to me blind I would guess that it was an oolong. Will follow suggestions in other reviews and try iced.
I so enjoyed receiving the excellent surprise teas every 3 months, that I renewed my subscription. I got introduced to some awesome teas that I would not have ‘met’ and experienced otherwise. I look forward to another year of great tea surprises. Thank you YMT
This is a great black tea collection!! All 3 are ones that you can enjoy by themselves or adding soymilk (or your milk of choice) for a British style creamy tea.
I got the sampler to try out all the different teas I haven’t tried yet. Does not disappoint. I really love how clean all the teas taste and I really appreciate that they provide compostable tea bags.

India has become the second-largest tea producer in the world, crafting world renowned varieties including Darjeeling 1st Flush and Assam Black. We at Young Mountain Tea are proud to be part of this globally beloved industry and are working with emerging tea makers to shape its future. We source directly from small-scale tea gardens in pristine mountain ranges—like our Nepali teas, which flourish in the shadow of Everest—and we are the exclusive U.S. importer of many of the Indian and Nepali loose-leaf teas in our online shop, including the Kumaon teas that hail from a forgotten Himalayan tea region that is being reborn. Every ounce (or pound) of loose-leaf tea you buy helps to create vibrant rural economies and restore the environment. Our deep partnerships with tea growers support individual livelihoods, regional commerce, and help remote communities unlock tea's full potential. That means fresh, certified organic, high-quality Indian and Nepali loose-leaf teas that you won’t find anywhere else. We believe it is possible to create sustainable communities through exceptional tea. We believe in quality and sustainability. And of course, we believe in the power of tea. Raise your cup.
