Tea Sampler

$24.99

We’ve brought all the vast diversity of the tea regions of India and Nepal into one carefully curated tea sampler for you to enjoy. The nine teas included cover every region from which we source in the subcontinent, including Assam, Darjeeling, Kumaon, Nepal, and the Nilgiris. We’ve chosen teas to represent the full range of styles that tea makers are creating, from the classic black teas they’ve perfected over the last 150 years, to the modern green, white, and oolong teas that represent the ways tea makers are evolving.

Each of the nine samples has enough tea to make 2-3 cups. The sampler also includes an informative card, providing an easy way to stay organized and keep track of your favorites. So turn on the kettle, and get ready for a long, luxurious journey deep into the far reaches of our collection!

Teas included:

  1. Organic Assam Black
  2. Organic Darjeeling Ruby Oolong
  3. Organic Darjeeling Autumnal
  4. Organic Kumaon White
  5. Organic Kumaon Black
  6. Organic Nepali Green Pearl
  7. Organic Nepali Golden Black
  8. Nilgiri Green Dragon (organically grown, but not certified)
  9. Nilgiri Platinum Needle (organically grown, but not certified)

Great tasting tea

I bought white tea; Kumaon black, Darjeeling; & sample pack. A friend & I tasted 4 of them. Very smooth, & excellent flavors!! We especially liked the white tea with cucumber & melon. She wants to make it iced also

Good tea!

I've tried many times and spent alot of money to find really good, affordable tea(ironically enough), and this is it. I'm not a person who really likes to get into the tastes and textures of certain teas, but I absolutely love the little flavor profiles they send along with the tea, its very easy to explore them, and it's also very easy to mindlessly just make a cup of tea and enjoy these teas too. One gripe that I do have, even though it's not really a gripe per se, more of an unchecked expectation, is the lack of oomph the black teas have, this isn't an English breakfast or Irish breakfast that you really can hammer with the sugar and milk to make a good tea. I think the main thing I'm getting at is that their black teas aren't like your original English teas, their very good, much better than a blend you'd get at a supermarket, but they're not that super deep, malty, bitter brew you get with an English breakfast for instance. If you are looking for that deep breakfast blend, it's not here, but if you are looking for black teas that turn your whole thinking of a black tea upside down, these are definitely it. As for the green and white teas, those were absolutely amazing teas and I have no sort of complaint for either :')

A darn good cup of tea!!

I wanted to let you know I am thoroughly enjoying my Tea Sampler. I still can't figure out which I like best! Originally I ordered simply because I have a Nepalese friend who told me a lot of tea is grown in Nepal - but no one is aware of it. I certainly am now. I just watched the video about the trip to Champawat. I have read and reread Jim Corbett's books since I was a kid and I was thrilled to see a little of what Champawat looks like and the wonderful tea industry being developed there.

Several things really endear YMT to me. In no particular order, the women growing both the tea and a business; another is the sustainable nature of the projects. Most importantly is the tea itself. The store brands I was familiar with like L***** had a strong tannin taste which I strongly dislike. These sampler teas do not. I can easily and enjoyably drink them without sugar, or a little if I want, even if using the same tea a second time as the flavor does indeed change. Speaking of which, the flavors are wonderfully different; I can't make up my mind about which sample I like best. So I keep brewing and drinking and brewing and... Thanks, YMT for introducing me to the teas of Nepal and Kumaon. John
