Kumaon White is a fresh, bright organic white tea from one of India’s forgotten tea regions. This micro-lot of the 2022 season's harvest was made in mid-April. We were visiting Champawat village while it was being made and enjoyed the fresh lot so much we decided to bring back one bag of the tea by air. The remainder of the 2022 season's teas will be available later this year, so this is a limited release of the freshest tea we are able to bring over.
Our expected delivery of this 2022 presale is mid-June. We'll keep you updated as the tea makes it journey from the Himalayas to us. In the meantime, here's a 45 second video we made while we were visiting Kumaon and this tea was being made.

Packaging: Our teas come in resealable standup pouches with strong moisture and oxygen barriers. All our pouches are made with at least 20% post-consumer recycled milk jugs and water bottles. They are infinitely reusable although not recyclable. They are essentially high-end resealable bags. After you have finished your tea, wash and reuse them to store your car snacks, carry your favorite trail-mix on a hike, or even store odds and ends such as art and craft supplies, batteries and toiletries.
