Gautam Mohan is the Managing Director for Tea Promoters of India, a position he has held for almost 10 years now and is responsible for overseeing tea production across India, including in Darjeeling, Assam, and South India. It’s a privilege to be able to have this conversation with a tea producer with such depth, breadth of experience, and such a demonstrated commitment to progressive tea-growing. From organic to regenerative to organizing small farmer tea co-ops, to providing guidance to emerging regions like Kumaon, where we are working, Gautam and the team at TPI is actively helping to shape a more sustainable future for the Indian tea industry.
