Building A Sustainable Future For Himalayan Farmers And Their Families
My son came over to help prepare dishes for Thanksgiving. I asked him if he wanted to share a pot of Darjeeling with me. His response, “Makaibari Estate First Flush?”... Yes. We learned of this tea several years ago at the NW Tea Festival and it goes well with a father and son food prep afternoon. All around gratitude and goodness for Thanksgiving day.
This is the best white tea I've ever tasted and my favorite tea. I've tried many white teas and am usually disappointed. This silver needle tea does not disappoint. I love the low caffeine, the flavor, and how I can brew this tea multiple times and drink it throughout the day. It is so good and worth the price. Thank you young mountain tea for sharing this wonderful product with your customers.
White tea is so special that I wait for sunny days to brew it as sun tea. It's so multi-layered and nuanced that I don't drink it with a meal. It's a special moment unto itself (with the exception of a bit of dark chocolate '-). This kind of delicacy is a treasure in this noisy world. Thank you!!
These cups are the perfect size, have a nice thin rim, and wide mouth, so the fragrance, taste, and texture come through clearly. They make drinking tea extra special. And they will make excellent holiday gifts for our tea loving tribe.
We absolutely love all of young Mountain Teas. We don’t drink anything else.
I love the teas and all the info the came with it. The attention to detail is wonderful. I’m already brewing a better cup of tea and can’t wait for the next subscription arrival.
I drink a ton of tea and always willing to try a new one. I actually found this in a Seattle tea shop. My first cup I had with just a tiny bit of sugar was so smooth. No bitterness or after taste! Absolutely smitten.
I enjoyed this loose tea very very much, and I was quite amazed that I also enjoy it in tea bags very much! Perfect to carry with me when I'm going on an overnight somewhere.
This tea surprised me with how wonderfully good it was; the rich depth of flavor of dried apricot and rich woody base. I love the flavors the pan roasting brings out in green tea; sweet and nutty. This is a new favorite! Love the faces in the photo of the women who produce this lovely tea.
I am obsessed with this chai blend! As a chai enthusiast (enough to know that "chai" just means "tea" in Hindi), i have tried my fair share of blends from many different companies and this is by far my favorite. And it doesn't hurt that I get a personalized note with every order from Young Mountain tea! I can't recommend it highly enough!
Tea was bold and varied; I especially appreciate the range from delicate white tea to the stronger Golden Black. High quality and flavorful!
This tea was wonderfully smooth and delicious. I really look forward to my afternoon cup of Organic Nepali Silver Needle!
So excited that Young Mountain has come out with Earl Grey tea bags that are not only delicious but also highly sustainable! I highly recommend this wonderful tea!
It is always fun to be surprised with Young Mountain Teas, and usually with teas that I would not have tried out otherwise. I usually find some new favorites, and surprising new varieties. Yum.
Darjeeling Tea from YMT is excellent for making chai.

India has become the second-largest tea producer in the world, crafting world renowned varieties including Darjeeling 1st Flush and Assam Black. We at Young Mountain Tea are proud to be part of this globally beloved industry and are working with emerging tea makers to shape its future. We source directly from small-scale tea gardens in pristine mountain ranges—like our Nepali teas, which flourish in the shadow of Everest—and we are the exclusive U.S. importer of many of the Indian and Nepali loose-leaf teas in our online shop, including the Kumaon teas that hail from a forgotten Himalayan tea region that is being reborn. Every ounce (or pound) of loose-leaf tea you buy helps to create vibrant rural economies and restore the environment. Our deep partnerships with tea growers support individual livelihoods, regional commerce, and help remote communities unlock tea's full potential. That means fresh, certified organic, high-quality Indian and Nepali loose-leaf teas that you won’t find anywhere else. We believe it is possible to create sustainable communities through exceptional tea. We believe in quality and sustainability. And of course, we believe in the power of tea. Raise your cup.
